UK Guardian article highlights Berlin Rental Rates -While inexpensive, in comparison to both London and Paris, Berlin’s rental prices are going up, and much faster than many Berlin renters would like. What does this all mean for native Berliners?

In an interesting article last week, the leading UK daily newspaper the Guardian, entitled „The housing trap: how can Berlin avoid following in London’s pricey footsteps?“  it comes up with some interesting conclusions. –http://www.theguardian.com/cities/2015/sep/23/housing-trap-how-berlin-avoid-following-london-pricey-footsteps

The Guardian, it is after all a UK paper, does spend a lot of time comparing London, but it still gives a good idea of how things stand  in Berlin at the present time.

While it is both supply & demand which along with interest rates which are the main determinents in the real-estate market -and this is no different in Berlin than in Paris or London – one could well ask how will the present mass migration into Germany now taking place effect housing in Germany and Berlin ?

This blog will delve into this question further in the near future.
