Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) addresses lack of suitable Construction sites for Residential Properties. Places to build your building are in Berlin are becoming more scarce, especially for residential development investors.

This was reported in an annual residential market barometer compiled by the Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) that based its conclusion after having consulted more than 200 Berlin Real Estate experts.

According to an article in the Berliner Morgenpost, another issue mentioned by those polled were that there is not enough income coming from potential future tenants. http://www.morgenpost.de/incoming/article206156577/Wohnungsbau-Grundstuecke-in-Berlin-knapp-und-teuer.html

The Bank thinks that the general Real Estate investment climate in Berlin and interest therein – both domestic and international – remain good and has even reached new investment levels.

The IBB, otherwise known as the ‘Investitionsbank Berlin’ is a development bank and belongs to the city state of Berlin. It has as it’s main charter to encourage and assist the economic development of the business location Berlin. It also promotes Berlin’s real estate and partners in related financing issues.

To look at some history of the present Real Estate in Berlin a very good article appeared last year in the respected UK daily the Observer/Guardian,  http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/13/berlin-property-boom-germans-end-home-rental
